The P.A.W.S. of Tinley Park could not exist without the dedicated efforts of our volunteer staff. We depend on them to help with the daily care of our animals. Dog or Cat person we would love to have you on our team! All new volunteers must first attend a Volunteer Orientation session. All orientations will last approximately 2 hours and will include a tour of the shelter. Registration is required for your attendance and space is limited to 10 people.
We have many openings throughout the day, seven days a week. We require all adult volunteers to be 18 years of age; however, volunteers between the ages of 14 and 17 are eligible for our Junior Program and must have parental consent. The process of becoming a new volunteer can take a few weeks, so please download a Volunteer Application form and email it to pawstpvolunteer@yahoo.com today! There are fundraising and pet therapy projects that always need assistance. Help is needed on all shifts. Shift times can vary by day depending if the shelter is open for viewing of the animals.
