Become a Volunteer

All our volunteers are NOT paid, not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless!

Volunteer Duties include but not limited to:

Caring for the dogs and cats, ranging from cleaning cages,feeding, medicating, socializing and grooming.
Junior

14 - 17 years of age

Completed Junior Volunteer Application (available at the shelter)

Required - Photo ID

Required - Parental Consent

Orientation Class

Adult

18 years of age or older

Completed Adult Volunteer Application (available here)

Orientation Class

Orientation Class includes an explanation of duties, shelter policies, animal guidelines and a tour of the facility.

Orientation is mandatory before starting to work with the animals.

There are fundraising and pet therapy projects that always need assistance.

Shift Times

Help is needed on all shifts.

Shift times can vary by day depending if the shelter is open for viewing of the animals.

Mornings 7:30am - 10:30am

Afternoons 11:30am - 4:00pm

Evenings 6:30pm - 9:30pm
